Additional Information
All International Events are fished under F.I.P.S.ed and C.I.P.S. rules and with the exception of the Celtic Cup all events are fished over a period of only three hours.
Each event anglers have to fish under strict controls of bait limits and are only permitted to use natural baits.
The general bait and groundbait limits are 17litres of Groundbait, 1 litre of Bloodworm/Joker and 1.5 litres of other baits.
During the competition period each and every angler has a steward sat behind him or her to ensure strict rules are adhered to and to record the numbers of fish caught.
All International events are fished using float only so no feeder fishing is permitted. In addition you are not permitted to over shot a float. And on no account must the bulk of the weight be permitted to lie on the bottom.
Competitors are not permitted any assistance from outside of his box once the competition has commenced other than from his or her manager and then only verbal advice may be given.
If an angler is found guilty of breaching any rules he or she can receive a warning and this will remain on his or her file for a period of three years. If in that time he or she commits a further infringement of the rules this will be considered as a relapse, and the Jury will make a decision taking the new infringement and the list of sanctions into account.
Certain Infringements of rules can see the angler receiving a warning and more severe infringements of certain articles can see the angler being disqualified.
